Fresh Produce in 2020

Lettuces, bok choi, celery, carrots and an onion
A freshly harvested produce selection: lettuces, bok choi, celery, carrots and an onion

Looking for fresh produce near Wiarton?

Well, this year is a little different.

Normally, we sell our yummy veggies and plants via the Wiarton Farmers’ Market.

This year, we are delivering veggie boxes to local folks on Tuesdays. Our delivery list is currently full, but if you would like to be added to the waiting list, please email Erin at erin@polkadothenproduce.com .

We are thrilled to partner with DeJong Acres this season. Erin is delivering fresh vegetables every Tuesday afternoon to their farm store. So even if you aren’t part of the new delivery system, you can still get your hands on our delicious veggies.

We are working towards an online ordering process for contactless order and pick up on the farm once a week. Currently, we’re hard at work getting plants into the ground, so it’s gonna be a little while. If you’d like to be kept up to date on online ordering, please get in touch and you’ll be the first to know when the store is up and running.

black krim tomato seedling in cow pot polka dot hen produce
Reducing plastic is always on our mind, so this year’s tomato seedlings are for sale in biodegradable “cow pots.”

Tomato starts are growing! Our selection of tomatoes in 4″ biodegradable pots have been selling well, but there are a few more available. We have Black Krim, a delicious dark beef steak; Bing, a super-sweet red cherry and several others. Email Erin for the list. Tomatoes are hardened-off so they are ready to plant directly into your garden. $4/plant

Farm Tours are on hold at this point. We hope that by the time July and August roll around, we’ll be able to offer them again.

Thanks for your interest!

Keep well.
